Serano is a brand developed and owned by E. Neophytou Trading Co LTD, a Cyprus-based family company established in 1974. Serano is currently engaged in the import, export, processing and trade of dried fruits and nuts, and is a market leader with an overall market share of more than 62% in the Cyprus market. We supply companies engaged in the selling of nuts under our brand name, under private label and in bulk. Such customers include Chain supermarkets, groceries, kiosks, café, snacks, hotels, confectioneries, fruit markets, bakeries, cinemas, ships, coffee shops, airlines etc.

Serano's quality control tools start long before the nuts are processed. Our thirty six year industry experience and our strong relationship with international suppliers of raw materials, allows us to select and procure the right type of raw materials at the right point of time in order to keep the manufacturing process running at optimal efficiency. An extensive inspection of every single lot of incoming goods through the company’s in-house laboratory is considered standard procedure. All incoming lots are intensively tested and analyzed.

In-process record keeping through the company’s quality assurance system (ISO 22000 & ISO9001:2008) allows us to maintain a daily manufacturing log. This measure ensures that both qualitative and quantitative controls and goals are met.

Serano currently operates out of a combined 6,000 sq meter manufacturing, storage and office administration space in Nicosia. This facility includes separate buildings for processing different types of products at different stages in the manufacturing process as well as different refrigerated warehouses for storing both raw materials and finished goods.

A new purpose built manufacturing facility of 6,000 sq meters including 2,000 sq meters refrigerated warehousing is under construction expected to be in operation by January 2012.
